Operations Update on Marciano-1ST Well

Further to the announcement on 16 March 2011, the directors of the Company (the "Directors") are pleased to announce that the Company has today received all permissions required from the relevant authorities to undertake the planned completion operation of the Marciano-1ST well, located on its Fonte San Damiano Concession.  The drilling rig, and other necessary services, will now be mobilised in order to commence operations.

Apennine Energy holds a 99% working interest in the Fonte San Damiano concession located in Basilicata which contains the Marciano discovery.
