Sound Oil, the upstream oil and gas company with assets in Italy and Indonesia, announces that it was notified on 21 September 2012 that Manxdale Holdings Limited ("Manxdale", a fund connected with Astin Capital Management Limited ("Astin")) is interested in 595,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the Company (representing 20.73% of the Company's issued ordinary shares) of which 442,480,837 are currently held in escrow (pursuant to the private placement through Astin announced on 16 July 2012) and 152,519,163 are held by Manxdale.
